1. Get a VPN account setup
2. Download the VPN software onto each device you want to unblock Solarmovie on
3. Install the software and connect to a server location where Solarmovie is not blocked
4. Once connected, enjoy unblocked Solarmovie!
How to Unblock Solarmovie in UK 2016 in more detail:
Living overseas, the thing that you miss most of all is family and friends. And because of that, when you do manage to get home, the time you spend with them is particularly precious.
I live abroad and a month or so ago I was back in the UK for just a few days. I arranged to meet up with my old group of mates one evening to catch up and chill out together. The plan was to meet for a few beers, then head back to my friend Ian’s place where we’d order a pizza and watch the latest Star Wars film.
We grew up together loving Star Wars, and although we had all seen it already, we still wanted to watch it together.
Pleasingly drunk and with too much pizza on its way, I tried to log into Solarmovie. For my money this is the best free online movie streaming site around and it’s how I watch pretty much everything when I am abroad.
To our intense annoyance, it turns out that Solarmovie is blocked in the UK. My mates feared that this meant our Star Wars plans were ruined but working in tech, I knew a simple way to get around the blockage. I logged into my VPN.
Solarmovie is a site which provides visitors with links to available streams of the most popular movies and TV shows. It doesn’t host the streams itself, but it also doesn’t point to the legitimate copyright holders of the content.
This is a bone of contention with some ISPs, and indeed Governments, who term such activity illegal and a breach of copyright. It is a highly debatable point, but regardless of where you stand on the issue, the fact remains that in the UK, accessing Solarmovie is no longer as straightforward as it once was.
Most ISPs have now blocked the site for their users and if you attempt to visit it, you will be greeted with a message telling you this site is not available.
ISPs have the technical capabilities to block their users from connecting to any sites they deem illegal or inappropriate through their servers. In the UK, most ISPs use this power responsibly and only block illegal content such as child porn.
But in recent times, often under pressure from an increasingly authoritarian government, they have been blocking more and more content, and Solarmovie is just one of many streaming sites to fall victom to this.
Of course the reality s that anyone with an ounce of technical ability is able to bypass these blocks with ease. How? Using a VPN of course. Connecting to your VPN will allow you to circumvent any such blocks and access whatever content you like. And if you want to know how to do it with the best VPN around right now, ExpressVPN, just keep on reading.
So first of all, you need to sign up for a VPN. As I have already noted above, recommend ExpressVPN for this purpose, and you can visit their site by clicking through any of the links on this page.
Once there, you can select any of their subscription packages. They aren’t too expensive, and there is a free, guaranteed 30-day money-back guarantee if you are not totally satisfied.
Choose your package, and then follow the guidance to make your way through the payment process. After you have finished paying, you will be sent an email to authenticate your account. Click on the link you are sent and that’s it, you have signed up with ExpressVPN.
The next thing you need to download and install the software. Simply choose the correct operating system from the list below. (You can use ExpressVPN on almost any device.)
After selecting, all you have to do is follow the simple step-by-step instructions to download and install the software. It should only take a few moments.
Lastly all you need to do is connect to a server. There are dozens to choose from on ExpressVPN but of course make sure it is located somewhere outside the UK (and other countries which might also block Solarmovie).
Make your choice, and then wait just a few moments while ExpressVPN establishes a connection. And with that you are done.
You should now be able to go online and access Solarmovie as usual. It worked for me and I had one of the best nights of my life, with my best mates, a fantastic movie, and some distinctly mediocre pizza.
Do leave me any comments or questions in the box below. Feedback on these guides is always nice to receive.
And if you are really not sure about ExpressVPN (and I cannot think for one minute why you wouldn’t be) there are plenty of other VPNs out there you can choose from. Take a look below to see my pick of the top 5.

1. Step 1 is to get a VPN account.
2. The install the VPN onto the laptop, smartphone or other device you want to watch Putlocker unblocked on.
3. Then open the VPN and connect to a server location that Putlocker is not blocked within (for example, a US-based server location)
4. As soon as you are connected to the VPN, you'll have full access to Putlocker in the UK
How to Unblock Putlocker in UK and Bypass Virgin Media in more detail:
Note: This quick guide on how to unblock Putlocker and bypass Virgin Media in the UK involves using a VPN. There are literally hundreds of VPN services to choose from these days, so I personally reviewed the best ones around and chose ExpressVPN as the best one for unblocking Putlocker in the UK. Check it out in more detail:
Special VPN Deal!
Get 3 months free by getting ExpressVPN right now:
Being based overseas, I stream a lot of video’s and other content online. It’s is the easiest way for me to keep up with the latest movie releases as well as access some of my old favourites as I live in a non-English speaking country where there is either no demand for the movies I like, or they are dubbed (usually very badly).
My streaming site of choice has for a longtime been Putlocker. If you haven’t heard of Putlocker before, you have missed out. It is essential a site which allows you stream movies for free… there is nothing more to it than that.
A few weeks ago, I was back in the UK visiting family and sat down with my parents to watch a movie. We had been talking about it for ages on Skype and looking forward to watching it together online. I went to log into Putlocker, only to find that I was unable to access the site.
It turns out that Virgin Media has blocked Putlocker for all of its customers in the UK. It was a real pain and for a while we were all disappointe and wishing that the high street still had a DVD rental shop.
Fortunately, I worked out pretty quickly that to get to see everything I wanted, all I needed was a VPN.
Virgin Media has blocked Putlocker as a result of a legal dispute which apparently stems from the Motion Picture Association of America. They are a lobbying group which protect the copyright of Hollywood studios and try to ensure that only official streaming services are able to stream content online.
Of course, Putlocker doesn’t actually stream the content itself, so isn’t technically in breach of copyright, but that hasn’t stopped Virgin Media jumping off the deep end and deciding to block all access to the site.
Their decision means that any Virgin Media customer who tries to access the Putlocker site gets an error message which tells them that this site is now unavailable.
As an ISP, Virgin Media have the technical power to stop their servers connecting to any sites they choose Most ISPs use this power to block little more than illegal sites, such as those peddling child pornography or drugs.
Others get a little bit more gung-ho (or paranoid depending on your perspective) and are quick to block any site where there is even the slightest hint that something might be even slightly illegal.
Sadly Virgin Media fall into the later camp, and this means that customers who enjoyed Putlocker before are now unable to access it.
Or so Virgin Media would like you to believe. Because actually, if you are a VPN user, which fortunately I am, connecting to your VPN allows you to circumvent their block and access Putlocker as usual. Here’s how it works with the best VPN on the market right now; ExpressVPN.
So, the first thing you need to do is sign up to ExpressVPN. You can do this by visiting their website by clicking on one of the links on this page.
Once there you will have the choice of a number of different packages depending on the length of time you want to sign up for and your budget. Make your choice of the best package for you and you will then be diverted to their payments page where you can follow their simple instructions to make your payment using credit card, debit card, PayPal, or Bitcoin.
If you are still a bit unsure about signing up, don’t worry, ExpressVPN offer a 30-day money-back guarantee if you are not completely satisfied.
Once you have paid, you will then have to click the link in an email in order to enable your account.
The next thing you have to do is to download and install the ExpressVPN software. This is pretty straightforward. All you need to do is choose the right operating system for your device from the menu you can see below. Then you just follow the simple onscreen instructions to download and install the software onto your device.
The software should then open automatically. If for any reason it doesn’t, open it manually once the installation has completed and follow the simple instructions.
Once the software is installed, the last thing you need to do is choose which of the ExpressVPN servers you would like to connect to. As long as you pick one outside the UK, it doesn’t much matter which one you go for.
Just click on your chosen server and then wait a few moments for the connection to be established.
It took me a few minutes to realise this simple process would bypass the Virgin Media blocking of Putlocker and I enjoyed a lovely movie night with my family as a result.
Do let me know if you have any comments on this guide, or any questions about how the process works.
And if you are not convinced ExpressVPN is the right VPN for you, there are plenty of others on the market too. Below you will see my recommendations for the Top 5 VPNs to watch blocked GEMA videos on YouTube. Enjoy!

*Working Solution to Unblock Pirate Bay in Australia*
1. Start by getting a VPN account
2. Next download and install the VPN software onto all devices you want to unblock Pirate Bay in Australia on
3. Then open the VPN software and choose a server location where Pirate Bay is unblocked (for example, the US)
4. Once connected, you will have successfully unblocked Pirate Bay in Australia
Yes, the time has finally come where Australian Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are blocking access to the Pirate Bay for any and all Australia-located internet users.
This is a sad day for the internet freedom fighters the world over, but is by no means a surprising development, since Australian government has been lobbying to make this happen for many years now.
With that said, the old saying "where there's a will; there's a way" could not ring any more true right now. Because we at Fried.com have found a working solution to unblock the Pirate Bay in Australia 100% successfully.
So without further chit-chat, let's dive right into this quick guide and get you accessing the Pirate Bay in Australia in less than 5 minutes. Read on!
The Pirate Bay has been blocked in Australia for pretty obvious reasons -- the very same reasons why The Pirate Bay has been periodically blocked in many nations across the globe.
Hundreds of thousands of users of The Pirate Bay every day in Australia use the website to illegally download and share commercial software, movies, music and other files for free.
Needless to say this left many huge leading organisations and companies in the entertainment media industry angered and out of pocket. So for a long time there was a legal battle between "internet rights" groups and said media companies, with the end result being -- as Wikipedia so succinctly put it:
On 15 December 2016, the Federal Court of Australia came to the decision to proceed with the block, forcing ISPs to block access to The Pirate Bay, isoHunt, and SolarMovie, as well as the already defunct Torrentz and TorrentHound, by the 5th of January.
Big blow to users in Australia that regularly download their media and software through the Pirate Bay and the many more now blocked sites.
It makes sense as to why, since every movie, song, software or media downloaded for free through the Pirate Bay is lost money that the media creators need in order to turn a profit on the media they've created.
So the actual "block" is happening at the ISP level. This means that every Internet Provider in Australia is now legally obligated to block access to the Pirate Bay to any user that attempts to visit the site when on their internet service.
The block is achieved pretty simply, through the use of "geo-restrictive" technology. This process is in itself not rocket science. Essentially, when a user connects to the internet and they are located in Australia at that moment -- then they are connecting to a server hosted by one of Australia's ISPs, right?
This means that the user's personal IP address (a string of numbers that tells websites and internet providers where they are physically located at any time) shows that they are located in Australia.
Thus, the moment your IP address shows that you are connected to a server based in Australia, you will be blocked from accessing the Pirate Bay.
With all that said, the solution is quite obvious -- just change your IP address!
If you have even a remotely "tech savvy" bone in your body, then you will know that the process of changing your IP address to make your location "appear" elsewhere than where you are actually physically located, is not all that difficult.
However, there is by far and away an ideal, preferred method to changing one's IP address over all other options. That is to use a Virtual Private Network, or VPN for short.
Why? Because a VPN will give you the choice of multiple IP addresses all over the world while also encrypting all of your online activity to a military-grade level, meaning that your privacy and online identity are protected enormously.
As mentioned at the start of this guide, I reviewed a bunch of the top VPN providers out there (there are literally hundreds of them to choose from!) and settled on ExpressVPN as being the best value for money for the best performance.
So I will use them as the example while I walk you through the super quick, simple steps to unblock the Pirate Bay in Australia by using a VPN.
First step is go to the Express website and sign up for an account. Here's a glimpse at what the homepage looks like:
As you can see, it's literally just three clicks to choose your plan -- which is offered on a "pay less for longer membership" standard subscription model.
You have plenty payment options, from the standard PayPal and credit card to more anonymous-friendly payment methods like BitCoin.
Once you've setup your account you'll receive an email confirming this. In said email you'll also receive a link to the "Download" area of the Express website.
This area allows you download the VPN software onto essentially any and every device you would want to access unblocked Pirate Bay in Australia through. As you can see in the snapshot below - you have more than enough compatible options to choose from:
With the VPN software downloaded to the device(s) you want to unblock Pirate Bay is Australia through, the installation will happen automatically. In a few seconds you will be ready to launch the software and get connected.
Go ahead and open up the VPN software. You will be presented with a very simple and easy-to-use interface. You simply then need to choose a server location you want to connect to.
This is the all-important part of the process to unblock Pirate Bay in Australia, since the server location you choose to connect to will be where you will "appear" to be located to your ISP and the web.
Go ahead and choose a server location that you know the Pirate Bay is not blocked within, like the US for example. Here's how the software looks on my Macbook when choosing to connect to a New York based server:
And below is an example of how it looks when I connect to a UK-based server (London) through the Android smartphone ExpressVPN app. As you can see, it is just as straightforward as connecting on my Macbook:
Then once you're successfully connected (takes just a few seconds) you will have successfully changed you IP address on the device and thus will now "appear" within the location you chose to connect to -- rather than your actual Australian location.
With that, Pirate Bay will be completely unblocked and available for you to visit and use.
This concludes the quick and simple guide on how to unblock Pirate Bay in Australia in 2016. The entire process should take you no more than 5 minutes, and you will have also protected your online activity and data to a super high level in the process. Nice bonus!
Should you want to check out some other VPN service providers, I have shortlisted the best ones I personally reviewed below:
Thanks for reading and happy Pirate Bay'ing!

Kodi is arguably one of the biggest on demand media streaming services around today. This service, previously known as "XMBC", is a super user-friendly and easy-to-setup media streaming service that allows you simple, fast access to online entertainment.
You can use Kodi to access all forms of media one would want, from movies to music to games, and much more. The reason this service is so popular and widely used around the globe is because -- although it doesn't give you "ready to watch" content within the service -- it does allow users to add as many individual streaming channels as you want of both your desktop and mobile devices (either through your own personal device storage or through the web.)
With all the said, there is one glaring issue with Kodi, especially since it is used by users all over the world:
!!!!! Geo-restricted content !!!!!
Yes, the ever-frustrating thing that so many websites and online services (especially media streaming services) love to implement. Geo-restricted content, in a nutshell, is what online services use to block users outside specific locations from accessing their service and media.
These restrictions can be incredibly annoying and deny you from that great stream of entertainment you are really looking for to accessing through Kodi.
However, there is a solution that allows you to bypass these restrictions immediately and easily: by using a Virtual Private Network -- or VPN for short.
Using a VPN gives you the ability to literally trick any geo-restricted online service into giving you access to their library of media, without requiring you to change your physical location. This means that a VPN allows you to get full access to all the possibilities that Kodi can offer from the comfort of your own home (and any other country you may travel to.)
So effective are VPNs for getting you access to Kodi's entire channel list, that there are now well over 100+ VPN providers that deliver a top-level service. This is great, however it also means that to find the best VPN Kodi users would want to use, you need to go through the ocean of VPN providers and test each out in order to make an educated choice on which provider to go with.
I wanted to remove this huge time-draining step for you by shortlisting 5 of the very best VPNs Kodi users should go with, with a breakdown of each provider's pros and cons.

Update: June 3, 2016
Back in the early 1990’s when internet use was really just catching on with the public, a famous stand-up comedian did a brilliantly prophetic sketch explaining how it would develop into being essentially a ‘giant porn database’. Now today, there is plenty more online than just porn, but make no mistake, porn makes up a decent percentage of the total content of the internet.
It is all but impossible to put figures on the amount of porn there is out there, or the amount of use it gets. (Popular although disputed figures from a couple of years back put the percentage of the internet made up of porn or related sites at 37% and another claimed that 30% of all net use was generated by porn sites.) Whatever the numbers, there is no denying the popularity of porn, and the fact that a lot of internet users will have viewed it.
That might be occasionally, or it might be on a regular basis. It is a common and popular pastime and there is nothing to be ashamed of. If you are reading this article, I would wager that you either have watched online porn, or are planning to. And that’s absolutely fine as far as I’m concerned. I would be lying if I said I never had.
However, if you live in certain parts of the world, you might find this harder than some other people. Many countries restrict access to pornographic sites for their citizens, arguing that they are protecting some moral integrity they imagine their society has and others don’t. Complete nonsense of course, but that doesn’t stop them.
Other users might be trying to access it on a restricted network, like at work or on a school or university machine. These networks will routinely block all access to pornographic material for obvious reasons.
And yet more users simply don’t want to get caught watching porn, either because to their personal position, or their relationship, or the type of porn they enjoy watching.
If you fall into any of those categories, this article is the one for you, because the solution to your problem, is a VPN. A VPN is a service which reroutes all your internet traffic via a third-party server, which enables you to get round online censorship, network restrictions, and also enables you to view whatever you want online completely anonymously (your machine will still keep records, so don’t forget to delete cookies and your browser history!).
They are cheap, easy to use, and above all they are the best tool available for accessing porn online.
So which one should you use? Well here at Fried.com we have road-tested pretty much every VPN you will come across, and this article gives you our pick of the best VPN for accessing porn online.

↓ How to Watch Netflix in Europe in more detail ↓
The problem first struck me when I was sat in my hotel room overlooking a fjord in Norway. The scene couldn’t have been more picturesque. The sun was setting, spreading reds and purples across the horizon and up towards the full moon overhead. There was a large sailing boat at anchor on the water, it’s bright blue hull and white sails complimenting the perfectly blue water and the snow caps on the mountains all around. The word idyllic doesn’t even come close.
And yet all I was thinking of was “what’s happening in the latest edition of ‘House of Cards’?”
I’m not such a philistine as not to appreciate the scenery, but I visit this hotel once a month as the company I work for has offices nearby, and, let’s be fair here, House of Cards is really good!
This is the curse of Netflix. It is both brilliant and dangerous. And once you bite it hooks you in and there is so much good stuff there it’s impossible to get away. This is why so many people want to use the service, and this is why people like me who travel a lot, want to take the service with them. Unfortunately, that is impossible to watch Netflix in Europe, or indeed anywhere else. You can only watch the US Netflix in the USA.
I didn’t know that time in Norway how to watch Netflix in Europe. Fortunately, I do now. If you want to watch Netflix in Europe, the solution is called a VPN.
The answer to this is more obvious than it may seem. TV and film rights are sold by country to different broadcasters and streaming services. If Netflix wants to stream a show in different countries, it has to buy different sets of rights.
As a US business, it is therefore not very surprising that it holds the rights to more shows in the US than Europe. And this in turn sadly means that they are not able to broadcast all the shows they hold the US rights to in Europe. Now I know Netflix has recently ‘gone global’ but what this means is they will offer some kind of Netflix service in almost every country in the world. This service will still vary from country to country as it does now.
So what this means is that Netflix has to be seen to be making an effort to stop users in Europe accessing US Netflix.
The answer is that they use a technology known as geo-blocking. How does geo-blocking work? It’s really quite a simple technology. Whenever anyone uses the internet they send something called their IP Address when they visit a website, or use any type of online service.
This IP address includes different information, including the geographic location of the individual. Your IP Address is how Netflix tells where you are and thus which of their services you are entitled to use. They then stop you accessing any of their others.
Fortunately, the solution to this restriction is a simple one. A VPN. A VPN works by re-routing all of your internet traffic via an external server, which can be located anywhere in the world. And if you use a VPN, it is the IP Address of this external server, not your own internet connection and device, which the website receives. Therefore, if the server is located in the USA, US Netflix has no reason not to let you use it!
If that sounds complicated, let me break it down into nice easy steps for you and explain with the use of ExpressVPN (the best in my view) how to watch Netflix in Europe.
Firstly, you will need to visit the ExpressVPN website which you can do by clicking any of the links on this page. Once there, you can choose from a variety of different packages. Simply pick the right one for you. If you are a little nervous about committing, there’s nothing to fret about. Express VPN offers a 30-day money back guarantee so if you are not completely happy, you will be refunded in full.
Once you have made you choice, all you have to do is follow the easy payment instructions.
Once your payment has been accepted, you can download and install the ExpressVPN software.
Again this is a very simple step-by-step process with clear instructions. All you need to be aware of is what type of operating system you are using to choose the right download.
When you have finished installing ExpressVPN, you will be invited to choose a server to connect to. ExpressVPN have servers in numerous server locations all over the world, but if you are looking to wach the original Netflix, you will need to pick a US-based one.
Choose whichever one you like, but I would suggest opting for the one geographically closest to your current location as this tends to mean they are slightly faster.
If you already have an account with US Netflix, all you have to do is log in as usual. But, if you do not have an account, setting one up is also a quick and easy process. Having a US credit card will make the process simple, but if you don’t it’s still quite easy to work around the problem by using a random US Zip Code. (I don’t believe Netflix check the Zip codes, so it doesn’t matter where exactly it is).
The registration process shouldn’t take more than a few minutes and with that you will be ready to go.
And it’s just as simple as that to watch Netflix in Europe. With that you can watch US Netflix wherever in Europe you might be, whether that is overlooking the Fjords in Norway or anywhere else. Still enjoy the scenery if you are somewhere nice… Fjords are beautiful I should stress. But with a VPN you can also retire to watch House of Cards, or whichever other shows float your boat, too.
As I said at the top of this article, I have tried many VPNs during my time with Fried.com, and none have come close to matching ExpressVPN for speed and consistency, when it comes to streaming video.
Nevertheless, if it isn’t the one for you, there are others out there and below you see my pick of the top VPNs to solve the dilemma of how to watch Netflix in Europe.

Brazil might be one of the worlds emerging economies, but it has still be a troublesome few years financially for many in Brazil. Anyone who saw the huge outpouring of public anger at the vast sums of money wasted on the recent World Cup that was held there, will know that the Brazilian people do not take kindly to their political leaders misusing their money.
This has not stopped it from happening and in recent days, the people of Brazil have been back on the streets as more allegations of political corruption threaten to bring down the current President and her government.
All-in-all, it has been a difficult few years for ordinary Brazilians and it is little wonder that more and more of them have been looking overseas for work, and also a better life and opportunities. It is thought that around 2 million Brazilians currently live abroad, and the overwhelming majority of these have left in the past 15-20 years for economic reasons.
Almost half a million have made their way to the USA whilst other popular destinations include Japan, Portugal, and Spain. But of course these ex-pat Brazilians are not looking to cut ties with their country and the loved ones they have left behind, and the majority of these will look to use the internet to keep in touch with people and events.
Unfortunately, Brazil’s internet is not the most open, and they find that many of the sites and services that they would be looking to use day-to-day are blocked. This includes TV streaming services allowing them to watch their favorite shows, shopping sites, online banking facilities, and so on.
So how do many of them get around these restrictions and access the sites they need? Well the majority have turned to a VPN.
A VPN, or Virtual Private Network, is a technology which allows users to log onto the internet via an external server. Once logged on, the IP Address they use to visit sites is the one connected to that server, rather their own internet connection. This means that they can access all of the geo-restricted by fooling them into thinking they are in Brazil even when they are not.
It is a simple and effective technique, but if you have read in recent weeks that many sites are clamping down on VPN, let me put your mind at ease. Netflix is attempting to blacklist the IP Addresses of known VPNs. This action is only likely to be temporarily effective as the VPN provider can just change servers, but it does still inconvenience users.
So to illustrate how to get a Brazil IP Address using a VPN, I am going to use a new VPN which is not blocked by Netflix, and which also offers a level of speed and service right up there with the market leaders. It’s called Buffered.
The first thing you will need to do is sign up with Buffered and you can do this quite easily by visiting their website. Click on any one of the links on this page and you will be diverted there. Once there you will have to choose from one of their subscription packages.
Click on your choice and you will be taken to their payments page where you can complete the payment by following the simple onscreen instructions. Don’t worry too much about this, as Buffered offer a no quibbles 30-day money-back guarantee if you are not totally satisfied.
Once you have completed payment you are then ready to download the Buffered software.
To download the software, all you will have to do is click on the operating system for the device you are looking to install Buffered onto. After clicking, you will be presented with a few simple step-by-step instructions to download the software, and afterwards to automatically install it onto your device.
With the software installed, all that is left is to connect to one of their Brazilian servers. It is advisable to choose the one closest to your own geographical location to ensure a maximum connection seed, but any of them should be sufficient.
Click on your chosen server and then wait a few moments for the connection to be established.
And that all there is to it. Once you are connected, you will find you are online with a Brazilian IP Address and that you can access any Brazilian website and streaming website you might wish to. Online banking, TV streaming, everything is now available to you regardless of where I the world you might be.
It’s a simple, easy process which is used by thousands of ex-pat Brazilians all over the world. If you don’t want to go with Buffered, I have added my pick of the top 5 VPNs for getting a Brazilian IP Address below. But beware, not all will allow you connect to the Brazilian Netflix service. Happy Surfing my Brazilian friends!

The Indian diaspora is one of the largest in the world. It is very hard to put a figure on the number of people around the world who classify themselves as being either Non-Resident Indians, or People of Indian Origin (i.e. the children of Indian expats who were born abroad) but rough estimates put the number at more than 30 million.
Of these, about 3.5 million live in the USA, while 1.5 million live in the UK, but the largest number are found in, of all places, Nepal, where there are an estimated 6 million. One thing that can be confidently said about almost all of these people, is that they are extremely proud of their Indian heritage, and the overwhelming majority go to a great deal of effort to keep the customs and traditions of their homeland a part of their new lives overseas.
I know this on a personal level having dated a British Indian girl in London for a number of years. Her grandparents had emigrated to the UK, but despite being second generation British, she was passionate about her roots. She had close contact with her family in Bangalore, many friends in the British Indian community, and would visit India at least once a year. She would also go to a great deal of effort to watch Bollywood films, and when she was in India, would record countless TV shows which she watched back in the UK.
Working in IT, I tried to find a better solution for her than this. I was sure most Indian channels would stream content online, and indeed they did, but unfortunately most of it was restricted to users within India. So I looked around for a solution. And the best one I found was using a VPN.
A VPN, or Virtual Private Network, allows users to log onto the internet via a sever located in anoher country. By doing so, you use the IP Address of that server when you visit sites, so if that server is located in India, it appears as if you are too, and you can access all the online India content that would usually be blocked.
My experience was a good few years ago now, and was received with near delirium by my girlfriend. Nowadays I know for a fact that many British Indians use VPNs as a matter of course to access Indian sites, and if you need to do the same, it is by far and away the easiest and most cost-effective way of doing it.
Some of you may have read about the attempted clampdown on VPN by Netflix. Don’t let this put you off. All they are doing is blacklisting the IP Addresses of known VPNs, but most of these providers will simply take steps to change their IP Addresses.
But there will still be an interruption in service if you are trying to use Netflix India, and I know this will b a concern to some people. SO to illustrate this article, I am going to use a new, up-and-coming VPN, which Netflix has not taken action against, but which still offers a level of service and speed that puts it right up with the very best.
Let me introduce you to ExpressVPN, which is one of the best VPNs I have ever seen, and I have been reviewing VPNs for many years.
So to use ExpressVPN to get an Indian IP Address, the first thing you will have to do is sign up to their service. To do this you can visit their website by clicking any of the links on this page. Once there, take a look at their subscription packages and pick the one best suited to your needs and budgets.
Click on your preferred choice and you will be redirected to the ExpressVPN payment page. The payment process is simple, and they also offer a 30-day money-back guarantee if you are not completely satisfied.
After following the easy payment instructions, you are ready to download the software.
To download the software, all you need to do is click on the correct operating system for the device you wish to install ExpressVPN onto. Once you have clicked, you will just have to follow the step-by-step instructions to download the software, and then automatically install it onto your device.
All that remains is to go through the list of available servers and choose one located in India. It is best to choose the one closest geographically to your current location as this ensures optimal speed, but in reality any should work just fine for you.
Click on your choice and wait just a few moments while ExpressVPN establishes a connection for you.
This technique works every time. My girlfriend couldn’t believe how easy it was for her to watch all her favorite Indian shows and TV channels, use some online services and social media which is restricted to India only, and visit some of the websites she had been unable to get on before. Our relationship was good for a pretty long time after I introduced her to VPNs, and I even got a couple of trips to India out of it! An amazing and eye-opening experience of a fabulous country.
I now understand why so many of the Indian diaspora around the world care so much about their homeland, and I hope this article can help a few more to keep in touch with what’s happening online back home.
If ExpressVPN isn’t what you are looking for, there are other VPNs which will serve the same purpose. I have identified the top 5 for getting an Indian IP Address, but I cannot guarantee at the moment that they will all be able to access Netflix. Whichever one you choose; I hope you enjoy it as much as my ex did!

Did you know that Spanish is the third most spoken language on the planet, with more speakers than every language bar Mandarin Chinese and Hindi? Yes, there are more people in the world who speak Spanish than English both as their first language, and overall. In total, more than 420 million people around the world can speak Spanish.
Little wonder then that demand for a Spanish IP Address is so high. Obviously most of these people live in countries other than Spain, yet if you are learning the language, you are almost certain to be learning Spanish from Spain, rather than Mexico, or South America. Therefore, if you want to practice listening and understanding the language, it is to TV shows and radio broadcasts from Spain that you will turn, rather than those from other countries.
Then there is the football, with La Liga one of the most popular football leagues in the world, and two clubs in particular, Real Madrid and Barcelona, being without doubt the biggest brands in world football.
It attracts fans from right around the globe, and watching a stream in Spain is still one of the most cost-effective means of catching a game.
Add into that the countless Spanish TV shows and movies which are popular across the Spanish speaking world and it is not surprising that so many people outside Spain want to tune into their shows. So why do they need a Spanish IP Address to do this?
Well, while broadcasters in Spain do make much of this content available online, it is almost all geo-restricted to users within Spain for rights reasons. So to tune in, you need to appear as if you were in Spain, and the easiest way to do this is with a VPN.
A VPN, or Virtual Private Network, allows users to connect via an encrypted pathway to an external server. Through this they connect to the internet and it is with this servers IP Address that they are surfing. This means they can access all the content usually restricted to users based in Spain, regardless of where in the world they are.
VPNs have had a bit of bad press recently, because Netflix has been attempting to block users of VPNs from accessing their service. These efforts merely involve blacklisting IP Addresses, which are easily changed, so it is only a temporary fix, but nevertheless I am aware that Netflix is a popular service for VPN users to use.
Which is why I have chosen to illustrate this guide with a VPN called Buffered, which Netflix has not blocked, meaning you can watch the best of Spanish entertainment, football, and Spanish Netflix wherever you are.
If you want to find out how in just a few quick and easy steps, keep reading below.

To begin with you will need to sign up for a VPN. This is easy enough to do. Just visit the Buffered website by clicking one of the links on this site. Once there, you will be able to choose from one of their many subscriber packages. Just pick the right on for you and you will be diverted to the payments page. This process is quick and simple, and can be done using a number of different, internationally recognized payment options.
Just follow the onscreen instructions and once you are done, you are ready to download the Buffered software.
When you are ready to download and install the Buffered software, you will need to choose the correct operating system from the selection available. Just click on the appropriate one for your device and then follow the instructions onscreen to download and install the software.
The entire process shouldn’t take more than a few moments to complete.
Lastly you will need to choose which of the Spanish servers offered by Buffered you want to connect to. It doesn’t really matter which you choose, but as a general rule of thumb it is always advisable to choose the one closest to your own actual geographical location.
Click on your choice and wait a few more moments while Buffered establishes a connection.
And with that you are all set. You are connected t a Spanish server and are browsing the web with a Spanish IP Address which means that you can access any Spanish website content and streaming services you choose, regardless of whether they employ geo-restricting technology or not.
If you don’t like the look for Buffered and want to go with another provider, we have outlined our pick of the top 5 below, but beware that most of these will not enable to watch Netflix Spain all the time as Buffered will. There are nevertheless all good VPN providers. Happy viewing!

There are a number of reasons why having a German IP Address might be an advantage to you. Firstly, if you are from German, speak German, or have an interest in German culture and entertainment, it will open up a number of streaming services and other content sites which are currently geo-restricted.
In recent years, a number of high quality films and TV series have been coming out of Germany, not to mention some of the best football being played anywhere in the world. For viewers keen to tune into content such as this, a German IP Address will make life much easier, and preclude the need to use illegal streaming sites.
But there are other reasons too. A German IP Address is one of the most valued in the world, as it opens up almost as much content as a US one does. But as well as access, the laws on online privacy in Germany are far more stringent than in the USA, and indeed many others countries in the world.
Many online users have become increasingly concerned with the online world in the USA post-Snowden, as they realized exactly to what extent the Government was watching them while they were online. In Germany, such snooping is strictly regulated and as a result user privacy is much more secure.
Then there is the world of online gambling. If you like to play a bit of online poker, or whatever game takes your fancy, you may find that your access to such sites is restricted in certain parts of the world, and indeed certain US states. Rules in Germany are much more flexible, so you should have no trouble playing whatever game you like.
So with all these perks, how do you go about getting a German IP Address? Well, the easiest and most cost-effective way is by using a VPN.
A Virtual Private Network, or VPN, allows users to connect via an encrypted connection to a server located in a different part of the world. When they then visit a website, that site sees the IP Address of the server they have accessed rather than their own connection. This means that if the server is located in German, the user can access all geo-restricted German sites, and also take advantage of the laws and regulations governing online activity in Germany.
If you are seeing the term VPN, and thinking about the Netflix clampdown, let me assuage your fears. Netflix is indeed blacklisting the IP Addresses of many big name VPNs at the moment. This action can only ever be a temporary fix, as there is nothing to stop the VPNs from changing the IP Addresses their servers use, but this will take time so the activity is still disrupting user activity.
At the present time it is only users of Netflix that seem to be affected, so to illustrate this article, we are going to use a VPN which Netflix has not blocked, so you will still be able to use Netflix Germany should you so wish.
That VPN is called Buffered, and it is a young, up-and-coming provider which has taken great strides in a short space of time. And if you keep reading I will explain how to get a Germany IP Address using Buffered.
The first thing you will need to do is sign up with Buffered, and to do this you will have to pay a visit to their website. You can do this by clicking any of the links on this article.
Once there, you can choose from one of their subscriber packages and then follow the simple online instructions to complete your payment. They accept all sorts of international payment options so it doesn’t matter where you are located, you will have no trouble signing up.
After the payment process has been completed, you will then be invited to download the Buffered software.
To download the software, you will need to pick the correct operating system from the options on the site. Just click on the appropriate one for your device and then follow the onscreen instructions to first download and then install it. The whole process shouldn’t take more than a few moments to complete.
Then you will need to choose which server to connect to. Buffered offers a few German options, and it is always advisable to pick the one closest to your actual location for optimal speed of connection.
Click on your choice and then wait a few moments while Buffered establishes a connection.
And then you are all set. With the connection made, you will be browsing online with a German IP Address, and should find you have access to all the geo-restricted German content, as well as being able to benefit from Germany’s liberal online regulations. It’s as simple as that, and the benefits whether you are into German culture or not are clear.
If Buffered doesn’t tick all the boxes for you, there are plenty of other options out there, especially if Netflix isn’t on your ‘to-do’ list. Below you will find my pick of the next top 5 VPNs for getting a German IP Address. Good luck!
